The Swimming Canada Level 1 Timers Clinic is an introductory course designed for parents and volunteers who will time swim meets. It covers the fundamentals of timing, including how to use manual stopwatches, understanding basic meet procedures, proper start and finish protocols, and the essential roles and responsibilities of a timer on deck. The clinic ensures participants are confident and competent in recording accurate times to support fair and efficient competition. Completion of the clinic is often required for parents to volunteer on deck at club competitions.
