2026-27 Coaches Wanted

The St. John’s Legends are seeking enthusiastic and committed swim coaches to lead pre-competitive and introductory competitive groups during the 2026 - 2027 season.

Season: 2027–2027
Location: St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador
Club: St. John’s Legends Swim Club

Position Details:

• Start Date: September 2026
• End Date: June 2027 (with potential to renew)
• Sessions: 60–90 minutes, 3–5 times/week
• Additional: Occasional swim meets, team meetings, and coach development sessions
• Compensation: Hourly, based on experience and certification
• Supervisor: Head Coach, Alec Ralph

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • Commitment to complete Fundamentals Coach, also known as Swim 101
  • Ability to join the Canadian Swim Coaches Association (CSCA) / Newfoundland and Labrador Coaches Association (NLSCA)
  • Ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Ability to obtain Standard First Aid with CPR-C.
• Preferred:
  • Swim 101 (Trained/Certified)
  • Standard First Aid with CPR-C
  • Respect in Sport & Safe Sport Training (can be completed upon hire)
