Competitive : Performance I
The Senior Performance Group is for our highest-performing athletes. This group has swimmers who have qualified for East Coast Championships and are working towards or have already achieved National Standards including Eastern Canadian Championships (Easterns), Canadian Swimming Championships (CSC), and Canadian Swimming Trials (Trials). Swimmers in this group are our team’s leaders and must show by example commitment and passion towards the sport at the highest level. Swimmers in this group are expected to represent the Legends at local, provincial, and out-of-province competitions, with priority meets being identified by the Head Coach. Commitment is monitored in this group via attendance at practice and competitions. Swimmers who fail to show commitment will work with the Head Coach to identify a solution, as spots in this group are limited and are of the highest priority. Persistent absence from training and competition could result in removal from the group. Swimmers will work with the Head Coach to continue their development in an intense and deeply planned training environment. The average ages in this group are 14-18.

Competitive : Performance II
The Junior Performance Group is for swimmers who are close to or have qualified for East Coast Championships and have started setting their sights on the National level. These swimmers are working towards Canada Games selection as well as representing the Legends on Provincial teams. Swimmers in this group are starting to show leadership qualities for our team, and show commitment and passion towards the sport. Swimmers in this group are expected to represent the Legends at local, provincial, and out of province competitions, with priority meets being identified by the Head Coach. Commitment is monitored in this group via attendance at practice and competitions. Swimmers who fail to show commitment will work with the Head Coach to identify a solution, as spots in this group are limited and are of highest priority. Persistent absence from training and competition could result in removal from the group. Swimmers will work with the Head Coach to continue their development. Intensity will be raised in the training environment, with refinement of skills remaining the main focus. Average ages in this group are 12-14.

The Black Group is for swimmers who have achieved their provincial championships standards and have either recently qualified for our East Coast Championships or are working towards reaching that standard. Swimmers in this group are expected to represent the Legends at local and provincial competitions, with out-of-province meets being available throughout the season. Commitment and Passion will have a higher value in this group with commitment being monitored via attendance at practice and in-province competitions. Swimmers who show persistent absences from training and provincial competitions will work with their group coach to identify a solution, as spots in this group are limited. Swimmers will work with their group coach under the supervision of the Head coach to continue their development.
Black I will have a more intense training environment, as they have shown more biological development and are chronologically older. The main focus is the continued development and refinement of all competitive skills. The average ages in this group are 14-16.
